Miriam Marguerita Gomez Witmer, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Educational Foundations department at Millersville University where she teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses in social foundations of education and content literacy for English language learners. She is the co-founder of Project Teacher Development and the Social Justice Collective at Millersville University. She is an international mentor trainer for the International Mentoring Association. Her research interests focus on mentoring, social justice in education, and diversifying the teacher workforce. She serves as the IMA Chair of the Communications and Marketing committee, member of the Nominations and Governance Committee and Editor of the IMA Connect magazine.
